Performing Gap-Fit Analysis
Customizing the Predefined OCDM Models for SuperTelco
Tom and the SuperTelco IT staff agree that, to represent different types of possible dealers, they need to introduce an altogether different lookup as part of the OCDM model.
A dealer might be of type "Retail Store" (belonging to SuperTelco, "STS"), “Franchise” (independent but selling only SuperTelco products, "STF"), and “Reseller” dealers (the later is allowed to sell any operators, including SuperTelco,"RST"). Only the first dealer is an employee of SuperTelco.”
They conclude that Tom will create a new lookup named DEALER TYPE with attribute list (Code, Name, Description), creating valid values and making use of this lookup in relevant tables. This lookup is of a generic type, and therefore can be handled by defining a new Lookup table.
In fact, Tom will create more attributes than those 3, to be coherent with the other Lookup tables of this type.
