What is the best way to extends a WoodStock component in order to had a new behaviour ?

I have read many tutorials on extending basic JSF components.

Is it the same way to proceed with WoodStock components ?

 

I have read the answer of Dan Labrecque (https://woodstock.dev.java.net/servlets/ReadMsg?list=users&msgNo=866)

But, I hope I misunderstood his answer ...
