This is a known bug that has been addressed in the 6.0 trunk.

If you want to use the NetBeans 6 Plugins to update and get the latest
components, you can use the current NetBeans 6 trunk builds found in
http://bits.netbeans.org/download/trunk/nightly/latest/. The NetBeans
trunk nightly builds have been updated with the Project Woodstock 4.1.1
components, and the NetBeans version shows as 6.1. This version of
netbeans has also been updated to use Dojo 1.0.
