Hope everyone had a nice holiday.

The public draft

has been up now for a few weeks, not had a great deal of feedback on it
to report at this point which is not untypical, but I do want to direct
your attention to a couple of things:-

- We're closing in on the final stages of this first version of the API,
so I'd like to ask you those of you who have not looked at the public
draft of the specification to do so ** before next Friday, January 18th
** and send out any issues you to the list. I want to be able to start
working rapidly soon thereafter on closing out and resolving issues that
come up.

This might also be a good point to start a bucket list for
features/additions for the next version of the specification - no idea
is too big or too small ! We have the extensions SPI on the bucket list
at this point, and more sophisticated schemes for URI mapping, but
that's it at the moment.

And you will see we have a number of issues on the docket that are
already filed.
