Hi Mo
In fact, there are some app level apis in the GMS APIs that allow, for
instance, the client to be able to find out who the group leader(master
node) is, and if a particular node is a group leader, and get the
current cluster view in addition to the messaging APIs.
Sheetal was also looking for a case where a master could be explicitly
set by the application allowing deterministic setting of masters.
User enquiries such as the one from Albert open up the opportunities for
some collaborative work. I am hoping we will have some community
initiative on this.
regards
Shreedhar
