My apologies for the delay. Too much travel lately.

At any rate, my involvement as a user with Java and the web goes all the
way back to jhtml. Despite being a former GlassFish team member and
regularly categorizing myself as an "EE guy," most of my EE usage has
really been centered around servlets. I've either used or helped develop a
variety of different frameworks on top of servlets. Most recently, I was
involved with websockets. I'm the original implementor of websocket
support in GlassFish and a (former now I guess) member of the JSR 356 EG
that standardized a websocket API for Java EE. As much as I'm a fan of
websockets, I'm quite excited at the prospect of HTTP 2.0 and its support
in 4.0. We have a chance here to reframe (if you'll pardon the pun) Java
development on the web.
