I spoke with Ed Burns (the JSF 2 spec lead) last week during JavaOne
and we came to the conclusion that it would be possible for a JAX-RS
resource to add data to particular JSF context and then defer to a
named view to render a HTML response. Beyond that things get much more
complex but I think even that limited level of integration could be
useful.
