As Marc and I promised here [1] we have gone open source [2] with an
reference implementation of the 311 API (version 0.1) that was in the
trunk (and is now tagged as jsr311-api-0.1 and with accessible javadoc [3]).
I hope that you will have time to play with the implementation and API
to see what works and what does not, propose changes, perhaps prototype
a proposed change to validate it, contribute to running examples
(use-cases) etc. IMHO the more we do this the better the final 311 API
will be.
Just to be clear: the goal of going open source is to improve the 311
API based on engineering experience, it is in no way a rather crude and
dishonorable attempt at rubber stamping.
