Hi Praveen,

I just downloaded  NetBeans 6.0.1 from  http://download.netbeans.org/netbeans/6.0/final/  taking the first distribution, ie 'Web & JavaEE'.
I didn't configure anything, just open the demo project,  build and run without any issue.
I notice the following in the output window when building the project:

Using C:\Program Files\NetBeans 6.0.1\java1\ant/bin/ant.bat

ant.home=C:\Program Files\NetBeans 6.0.1\java1\ant

Did you set your ant.home to some other version ?   I just use whatever NB comes with.  Maybe thats the issue.
Can you check what yours say when the build failed ?

Thanks for the feedback.  I have seen that error message even from the command line in the past due to bugs in certain versions of ant (I think it was ant).  However, I am not a NB expert, so I'm going to defer this question to Anissa Lam who wrote that part of the online help, she is much more of a NB expert that I am. :)  She's very responsive and I'm sure will get back to you soon.

Hi,
This is in reference to JSFTemplating's DemoNBProject installation. (as explained on https://jsftemplating.dev.java.net/nbTutorial/DemoNBProject_setup.html)

I want to inform you about some of the issues I faced while installing the DemoProject in NetBeans.

I had following environment:

• NetBeans IDE 6.0.1 (Build 200801291616)
• Glassfish V2 server
• JDK 1.6

 

On Building the project I used to get error by APT that "only JDK 1.5+ should be used", even if I had JDK 1.6 installed on my machine.

I was only able to deploy the application after installing JDK 1.5.0_15.

 

Is this a known issue or I was doing something wrong? If it is a known issue, I would appreciate If JDK version requirement be specified on the "Download and Setup DemoNBProject" document.
