Some more info...
To enable cooke support:
ApacheHttpClientConfig cc = new DefaultApacheHttpClientConfig();
cc.setProperty(ApacheHttpClientConfig.PROPERTY_HANDLE_COOKIES, true);
Client c = ApacheHttpClient.create(cc);
It add a filter do:
MyFilter f = ...
c.addFilter(f);
