Yeah, isn't that great! (it has been years since I left... but I never
had to be careful wrt what I say about Sun, since I seldom anything
too acerbic to say)

Yeah. Corporate branding is something corporations value rather highly.
And in many ways I actually understand that, need to brand, mark your
territory, belonging etc.
So amount of internal feedback probably won't matter too much.
External feedback perhaps tiny bit more, but hey, it'll be Oracle logo
of some kind. After spending big bucks, it's the least one could
get...

Sad but true. I don't want to blast Oracle too much, but having worked
for 50% of companies and known people who worked for the other, this
merger really had no positive aspects as far as I am concerned.

Good thing is that Jersey and other already-started projects are open
source, and that there is lots of talent involved with them.
