Thanks for the responses. The primary problem was that i was missing the
contextPath config on the jetty plugin. Beyond that i have discovered there
is a bug in the treatment of the Produces annotation when used with scala
code. Produces("application/xml") results in a type-mismatch error with
required type Array[java.lang.String] and actual type java.lang.String.
