This is unfortunate, but as per:

it should have been resolved earlier. Sounds like it hasn't.
I suspect there are some problems with Maven inter-repo propagation; that is, the primary repository (codehaus one) has correct version, but others (main maven repo?) not.

If anyone has access (or knows someone who has), it should be easy to manually replace broken pom version with correct one.
