The ant build is not broken as far as i can tell, we use Hudson to
automatically build and run the unit tests every time a commit occurs
and Hudson has reported no failures. And i have been running things
locally as well. Unfortunately Hudson access is only available
internally, although i really wish it could be offered and used as a
core java.net project building service.
Perhaps this could also be a platform issue?

Thanks! It is in the trunk.

Please don't take offense (there is non intended) but i would like to
see some more regular commitment from you to the development of Jersey
and source-base knowledge in the form of patches or stuff in email (code
docs tests examples etc) before a developer role is given. Of course i
would strongly encourage you to do so :-) BTW thanks for sending the
hibernate tip out.
In general my preference would be to keep the developer role for those
that are active on development (a branch counts). That way i think
things are easier to manage. Which implies we should regularly review,
say every 4 months, activity of users in the developer role.
I am very much open to what you and others think about this and what is
the most reasonable and practical approach to take.
Paul.
