Thanks for the data point - this is exactly the kind of info I was looking for.

This definitely could happen, but as the list owner, I can cancel their subscription
immediately. I see about 5 or 10 attempted spam messages sent to the list per day,
and it is only going to get worse, so keeping the closed postings is definitely the
way to go.
