Why? Isn't it just a matter of:

    <xs:element name="foo" type="xs:NMTOKENS">
      <xs:annotation><xs:appinfo>
        <jaxb:property name="Foos" />
      </xs:appinfo></xs:annotation>
    </xs:element>

or are you saying that this much typing is not practical?
