I agree that the error messages are not really user-oriented nor helpful.
We've discussed the issue before, but couldn't come up with a good
solution.

To me, the real problem is that the errors are defined in terms of XML
(like <foo> is missing or the value of @bar is wrong, etc.) while
applications need more higher level errors (like the property foo is
missing or the value of the bar property is wrong, etc.)

Even if you can access this information, I suppose it still is a lot of
work to turn that into an user-friendly messages (like "the wrong credit
card number" or "please enter the name of your spouse" etc)

So *personally*, at this moment I think the usefulness of the on-demand
validation is limited just to valid/invalid binary answer. If I were you,
I wouldn't spend time trying to make use of error messages of RI 1.0.


We are very interested in any comment on this area so that we can
improve it in future releases.
