I have now been asked this question by multiple folks so relaying it. I do think it is important for rebuilding confidence in the community and industry.
Some items that appears important in the survey such as configuration and health check were wisely deferred. Does this mean they are now being considered for Java EE 9? At JavaOne there was suggestion that the Java EE 9 work will start in parallel with Java EE 8. Is this still the case? If so, when should we expect Java EE 9 JSRs to be launched?

Linda,
Let me be the first to congratulate both you and Oracle in publishing the results and moving forward definitively with Java EE 8. In the next few months I will look forward to things moving solidly and visibly ahead to the finish line. I will be absolutely delighted to cheer you all the way there.
The devil is of course always in the details but the overall decisions look about right to me for Java EE 8. The one topic I would like a bit more clarity on is what we intend to do across the specifications with regards to better alignment with Java SE 8.
Cheers,Reza
