As we mentioned earlier (see
https://java.net/projects/javaee-spec/lists/jsr342-experts/archive/2013-10/message/2),
at JavaOne we held a "Meet the Spec Leads" BOF and an expert group
meeting whose purpose was to talk about potential items for Java EE 8.
Our intent was to use the input from those gatherings to prepare a
survey to collect feedback from the entire community, similar to what
we had done a year ago for Java EE 7 issues.
We've just launched this broader Java EE 8 features survey.
Due to its length, we are running it in two parts.
Part 1 is now live at
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/KGV7RWS
We plan to release part 2 in mid/late January.
Once we gather, distill, and announce the results, our plan will be to
ask for further feedback to help us prioritize among items that
receive significant support.
