Alan, don't want to disturb you with a bunch of questions, but
yielding nothing means this:

Trying 127.0.0.1...
telnet: connect to address 127.0.0.1: Connection refused
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host

?

Or it connects to the port but doesn't reply to the requests?
