Out-of-the-box it doesn't work (probably the same issue as right now).
I think we need to define how we want tot behave (maybe we should just
reject "/" like GF is doing by default).
Honestly, I can't understand why we would not? If its omitted in the spec for a reason please let me in on it :). As I see it, Servlet's are like any other CGI as far as a user's expectation. Could you imagine Apache not loading index.php as the root?
Again I may just be ignorrant as to the reason for this feature but as it stands, my vote is yes, lets strive for sanity over bureaucracy :-)

I know how to get around this if its not possible due to the Spec... but if that is part of the spec, wtf were they thinking? :)
GlassFish has a special way (like Tomcat) to handle the "/". Out-of-the-box it doesn't work (probably the same issue as right now). I think we need to define how we want tot behave (maybe we should just reject "/" like GF is doing by default).

Actually we need to try as the concurrent class has been optimized a lot since the original Mapper was written. I think we should write a little micro benchmark to test both and then decide. For sure I would like to use the osgi mapper (much more easy to debug!).
Thanks!
