Sorry for the commercial nature of this on the list, but we'd like
to give Jetty developers preference.
Webtide is seeking a technical lead and lead implementer for the US.
Work on real production sites from startups to millions of users using Java,
Ajax, reverse Ajax, etc. technologies. Assist on the development of Jetty.
Skills:
- Server side Java, with servlet experience, particularly of Jetty or
Tomcat.
- Client side javascript. The ability to write and debug javascript for
Firefox and IE (safari a plus).
- Unix and windows experience. Prefer Unix bias.
- Web UI toolkit (Dojo, DWR, or Google Web toolkit) knowledge a plus.
- JMS message bus experience a plus
- Exposure to server side persistence (EJBs, hibernate, etc) a plus.
- Desire to work with open source development with aspiration to become
a committer.
Familiarity with the process of downloading, installing and
investigating open source
projects and identifying any significant issues.
- Strong testing skills. The ability to devise and implement non trivial
test cases.
Responsibilities:
- Contributing debugging/development of Jetty server
- Client facing custom development work to follow stated requirements.
- online Forum based support for customer questions as needed
- strong sense of team responsibility to make sure progress and problems
are constantly communicated
