You are right, Iam porting JSP->Facelets. I was not aware that Facelets 1.1 had it worse, backward compatibility is OK then.

What is your recommendation for i18n in text parts of xhtml page. Just rewrite all occurences of
<h:outputText value="#{msgs.blabla}"/> to #{msgs.blabla}?
