I was talking with the WebSynergy team about their recent early access
using Liferay 5.0 + GFv3 (embedded) + MySQL and they said... "and be
patient the first time you start the bundle because the JSPs need to be
compiled"

I asked why they were not precompiled and they say there are
"architecture" artifacts. I suspect they might be rather deployment
directory artifacts, but, regardless... Is this the case?

Is it possible to precompile the JSPs? If not, why not?
