i had the same issue with gf 3.1. and it works after i added these jars:
/lib/gf-client.jar
imqjmsra.jar
j3d-core-1.3.1.jar
log4j-1.2.16.jar
if above doesnt work
you may want to try out by adding glassfish-embedded-all*.jar
