I have similar symptoms but with Virgo/TC but only for the first few moments
of the startup. The Dock is completely unresponsive including cmd-tab. To
switch windows during this time I cmd-space and type the first few characters
of the app I wish to switch to and selecting it switches the window for me. I
have Mountain Lion and Lion systems, all with Java JDK 7 installed. I have
the same symptoms on Mac installation I have. Dan.
