I was able to verify that MyEclipse is using their own code to deploy onto
GlassFish. They are not using the Eclipse adapter that is shipped from the
GlassFish Plugins project (
http://java.net/projects/glassfishplugins.
I did a quick look through the docs for 3.1 and 3.1.1 and did not see an
explicit reference to autodeploying an exploded archive as a supported
feature. Hong may be able to clarify the situation... since I have never
tried using autodeployment.
It is likely that the autodeployment of exploded archives 'worked' as some
sort of happy accident... not due to conscious effort.
