Yes, the Start->Menu shortcut does point to the right place. (otherwise I
would get an error, and it would not start). In fact I copy the properties of
the shortcut to get what I type at the command prompt:

C:\glassfish3\glassfish\bin\asadmin.bat start-domain domain1
