the workaround is ok!
The Web Service Client deployed as an OSGI Bundle works fine now.
I hope that the next version of Glassfish will contain the fix.

Try the patch I have uploaded to GLASSFISH-16970. Use it in GlassFish 3.1.1. Let me know how it goes. Pl. use our forum in future communications.
