Looks like that was a red herring, it's still happening with 3.1.1.
We're OK after installation, and it still behaves normally after I do
all the setup needed for our app (creating JDBC pools, JMS resources,
&c.), but as soon as I deploy our app, this happens. I get the splash
screen that says "The Admin Console application is loaded.", but the
spinner keeps spinning, and when I refresh the browser, I get a blank
page. I'm seeing this in the log:

Don't know if it's related, but the app uses ICEfaces 2.0.0.
