Hi,

 'default-config' is just used as a base/template for new configurations.

For example: if you create a cluster or a new instance then default-config is
copied and the copy is used for this new instance. You then edit this copy to
configure your new instance.

Lets say you create Instance03, then GlassFish copies default-config and the
copy is named: Instance03-config. To configure Instance03 you edit
Instance03-config.
