I have tried many things so far to fix this issue with my Glassfish server
when it's running independently from Netbeans, but no solution seems to help
me so far.
I'm running it in a Win2k3 machine. Could it be that? Also, isn't there a
separate installation for the JavaEE SDK?

I just wanted to clarify that this solution doesn't work for this particular
JDK problem; it only addresses an inability to start Glassfish. If you try
this solution, you'll still be unable to compile your JSPs. Shame it is
publicized everywhere on the net...
