Which operating system are you on and how did you start Update Tool? When you
are in the GlassFish installation directory try running "bin/pkg list" on the
command line. If that gives an error then post it here.

If you are on a 64 bit Linux box then make sure you have the 32bit
compatibility libraries installed. See the platform requirements listed here:
