No. GlassFish runs fine with Java 6. It is certified on a number of
platforms with 1.6.0_22+, both 32- and 64-bit:

It looks like NetBeans 7 final should ship late this month or early
next: http://netbeans.org/community/releases/roadmap.html

The nightlies already have 3.1 bundled, for what it's worth.
