A question and a comment...
Question: when you refer to a GlassFish client, is this a Java EE application client that will run inside an app client container, or a Java SE client that will use InitialContext and do its look-ups itself?
Comment: There is an issue open (
https://glassfish.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=6655) that might be related to this -- I do not know enough about the Eclipse RCP environment to know if this is the same problem as described in the issue.
