So this morning I started up Netbeans 6.8 and tried to start up an app running on glassfish v2... and I get the following message:
The Sun Java System Application Server could not start.
More information about the cause is in the Server log file.
Possible reasons include:
- IDE timeout: refresh the server node to see if it's running now.
- Port conflicts. (use netstat -a to detect possible port numbers already used by the operating system.)
- Incorrect server configuration (domain.xml to be corrected manually)
- Corrupted Deployed Applications preventing the server to start.(This can be seen in the server.log file. In this case, domain.xml needs to be modified).
- Invalid installation location.
I confirmed no port conflicts, the domain.xml was untouched, there are no logs from today in server.log.
The night before I installed a newer version of my antivirus, and the latest SE JDK, and this morning before I began working with netbeans, i installed a web connector api/tool for an accouting software I use. These may have had some bearing on this issue but I can't be sure. I tried stopping all services from the antivirus and that had no effect. I uninstalled this connector api with no luck. Is it the JDK, not sure. Netbeans runs fine with it.
How can I debug this?
Thanks
