My IIOP section in the domain.xml file looks similar to what you have posted. I have a different port, which works alright, and I had an address of 0.0.0.0 listed (I just changed that to the host name of the target server, for eample, name.domain...).
I suppose I could be encountering a timeout when ejb's where resolving 0.0.0.0 to 127.0.0.1 or something like that (maybe).
