Ah, it looks like this is being added in 3.1 according to this:

So does that mean that if I need clustering now, I must use v2? Or can I create a v3 configuration today without clustering and upgrade to v3.1 when it is released and convert to a clustered configuration at that point?

It looks like release is currently scheduled for 12/14/10, so if my project goes into production before that time, I may well be forced to stick with v2.1.
