Unfortunately, there is no lighter-weight module or library available.
This is a side-effect of the way many of the referenced modules are constructed. There are few cases in which the modules are partitioned into a server-only piece and a client-only (or client-and-server) piece. Ideally, the client library would depend on lean, client-only or client-and-server modules from the other components to help manage the client footprint but it's just not that way today.
