The purpose of having the answer file is to enable "non-interactive" installation. If you would like to prompt for some values and update the answer file accordingly
you can have your own wrapper script(.bat or a WSH script of any windows equivalent) to achieve it.
We don't have a system wide registry to find out if GF is installed on the machine or not. However you could look at start->menu program entries to see if you have any active
shortcuts.
