And did you check the web.xml in your archive to see if it references 2.5+ web schema?
I am guessing that is the problem. When I develop the app in Eclipse IDE it does not create the exact reference for every descriptor. I am working with EJB 3.1 but the IDE creates a 3.0 reference and the same for JPA 2.0 and JSF 2.0.
Excuse me if I response a little bit late but I have been busy. I have tried the app on NB 6.8. Everything seemed to go ok until deployment. This is the error I have got,

The App.zip includes the EJB project, the Web project and the built EAR project. See you can open on NB 6.8 and try it.
