kaplang: have you found a solution ?
I'm currently encountering exactly the same problem with the same context (GF embedded behind a authenticated proxy).
I also tried to put all the glassfish/lib/dtds in the embedded file structure, but it seems that my tests, which use GFembedded, freeze about 1 minute...
