The problem was:

insertable=false,updatable=false

that someone on the net said to be necessary when the discriminatorcolumn
field belongs to the key.

Looks like you forgot a setter somewhere.

jpa needs setters and getters for every attribute, also in the primarykey
class.
the setters can be protected/private, but must exist.
