Glassfish won't start without the original module, it looks like the original contains some additional classes, like the javax.validation spec.
Would it be possible to override by setting <class-loader delegate="false"/> in sun-web.xml? Not really sure what this does, and haven't got it working yet, but will try this if it may be a solution.
