Your original NPE occurred because your client couldn't find the ConnectionFactory in JNDI. Have you confirmed that it definitely exists by using the Glassfish admin console?
Changing the AddressList property won't make a difference to the lookup of the ConnectionFactory. However when you use the ConnectionFactory to create a connection it needs to be correct.
