I will gave squid a look, it sound like it should be easy to setup and if it does have PUT/POST/DELETE invalidation then it's a good start.
About the resource filter - I was not about to find any documentation about them. I was using resource providers if I remember correctly in glassfish V2.1 but I can't find much about that either.
If you can refer me to docs, or if Oracle (now that is) can share more information about glassfish and jersey it will be great.
