Placing Connector/J jar in GLASSFISH_HOME/domains/domain1/lib/ext solved the problem, thanks a lot!!!

Initially I placed it in GLASSFISH_HOME/domains/domain1/lib, and then tried to put it in GLASSFISH_HOME/lib, and neither was correct.
