I installed gf v3 on my server and saw the same problem.
then I dumped all the custom config I use for the app server and started with a default domain and the app deploys there.
now I know that the problem is caused by:
asadmin set server.java-config.java-home=/path/to/jdk6u18
I'm now trying to figure out why is this an issue. Will keep you posted.
