I changed the log levels successfully as far as I could tell:

    # ./bin/asadmin set server.log-service.module-log-levels.resource-adapter=FINEST
    server.log-service.module-log-levels.resource-adapter = FINEST
    # ./bin/asadmin set server.log-service.module-log-levels.connector=FINEST
    server.log-service.module-log-levels.connector = FINEST

But the logs do not contain any additional information regarding a possible NPE. I checked both the domain and instance server.log files. I wasn't sure if the setting is automatically done for the cluster, but "./bin/asadmin help set" showed there's no "--target" option, so I assume the setting of the log levels worked.
