it might be helpful to create a pom.xml with package/version/artifactId
package resolves to package name
artifactid resolves to Class name of Main Class or first class called
version is usually reported out by META-INF/manifest.mf

the configuration contained within project pom.xml *should* contain a rock solid system snapshot you can work with
